FRACTIONAL CO2 LASER
FRACTIONAL CO2 LASER Laser Seri Kembangan, Selangor, KL, Malaysia | NEWPAGES TERRY
Fractional CO2 laser treats skin that is aged, scarred, wrinkled, pigmented, and sagging, has an irregular surface, or has been damaged by the sun. It uses laser energy microbeams to break down skin tissue, allowing the body to heal naturally to form new and healthy skin.

How does Fractional CO2 Laser works?
Fractional CO2 lasers remain the gold standard in treating scars, rough skin as well as fine lines and wrinkles.
The laser delivers a beam that is divided into thousands of tiny but deep columns of treatment into the skin. These columns are called microthermal treatment zones (MTZ). This concept of MTZ allows the laser to treat intensively within zones while surrounding healthy tissue helps to speed up overall healing. The skin that has been treated then gives off cell signals which stimulate the body’s natural repair mechanisms to rebuild collagen in the targeted areas. The entire collagen remodelling process takes place over weeks to a month, and the final effect is smoother and tighter skin!

How is a Fractional CO2 Laser performed?
After the patient’s face is cleansed, numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area for about 30 to 45minutes to reduce the discomfort during the procedure. Patients will feel mild tingling and a burning sensation during the procedure. The laser usually takes about 10 minutes. Patients will be provided with a recovery cream to apply at home.

Patients will experience redness and mild swelling after the treatment, followed by scabs formation/ crusting and mild peeling of the skin which will heal in 5-7 days.
